The trailers I've seen for the film are pretty cool. I think Evans actually has some good range. We all know him as a cocky, cut-up kind of guy in his largest roles, but he's played it straight and serious just as well. I think he can pull it off.

Before I go any further...please take note that I have been a Captain America fan all my life. He's been one if not my absolute favorite comic characters for years. I was first introduced to this character in the Avengers (issue # 145 to be exact) and due to Cap's involvement with that team it's no surprise that I also became a huge Avengers fan over the years.
I have lost faith in the Avengers and painfully stopped collecting that book during the course of the last five years.....but I have never given up on Cap. I have been waiting for this movie to be released for what seems to be forever and today was the day....and I got scared. I woke up this morning and thought to myself....Oh My God....Chris Evans is Captain America....and I'm happy about this? What if the movie.......sucks. Well guest what. It didn't. I thought it was the BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE........... Also.....in respect to all the CR family who may not see this film right away please refrain from giving away any of what awaits them...let them enjoy it the way it was intended to be enjoyed....give it a few weeks and if you want I will be more than glad to break the film down by detail....but let's not do it here and now.

Good point there, G-Man. Wow, but I've been hearing all the great comments on -line all day long and damn if I didn't call this one. (He says, his chest swelling.) Hahahahaha. And I've still two more days before I catch on Monday. Aaghhh. Am so glad you had this reaction. Been a long time since any of us have been so geek happy.
