It was my Birthday on tuesday and one of my college lecturers told me her neice is Married to Grant Morrison and as she knew I was a big fan she'd arranged for him to come along to the college and meet us.
Also not to mention that Frank Quitely's tagging along with him!
Honestly so excited I doubt I'll sleep tonight! What do I even say to them! I mean I want them to know how much I love them but I don't want to come across as a total fanboy! haha.

Oh wow, that's awesome, Liam! First, happy birthday, man! Second, good to hear from you again. And third, have a great time meeting those guys.
I'd say just try to stay calm, tell them how much you love their work, but do so without gushing and you'll be golden.
It's not often people get a chance to meet those that inspire them or whatever, so congrats on the opportunity.

Thanks Brant! Yeah I'll just ask questions that show that I know their work well and enjoy their work without being my usual excited self haha!
Seriously it's one to score off the bucket list. I mean I was shaking with excitement when I found out Grant was coming in but when I found out Frank Quitely was tagging along I just about lost it! I'll hopefully get a photo with them and my Lecturer said they'll sign my comics no problem.
It's weird I almost don't want it to happen in case I'm dissapointed somehow. You know what they say about meeting your heroes!

Heh, yeah, true, but with all the knowledge out there about Morrison you know he's kind of kooky anyway, so just keep that in mind and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Regardless, it's an awesome opportunity.

I actually, I say get your inner fanboy out in the beginning (Don't worry, they like that)

Then be yourself.

Don't sweat the heroes thing man, it'll all be good once you get there. And get pictures!

Everyone is right, Liam. Be yourself, a smart, intelligent, polite fellow. If Morrison has the same traits, then you two should get along fabulously. And if he doesn't, then his loss. But the mere fact he agreed to come over says volumes about him already. In the end, have fun, amigo. And Cary is right,
take lots of pictures.

It was unbelievable! Sat and spoke to them for an hour and a half just talking rubbish. Got an interview with them so I'll have that posted up for you guys next week.
Grant even asked if he could have a look at my scripts so I need to get cary's permission. To show him my dynagirl scripts as he seemed quite interested in those.
Was an awesome experience. One I won't forget. They were both really nice guys.

Thanks mate! Was unbelievably surreal. My course is in no way related to comics so the fact they came in was just so random and amazing.
And the fact he offered to review my work without me having to ask is just ridiculous. Got photos and getting the interview all formatted and finished and I'll have it posted up for you guys.

I'm excited to read and or hear it.
That will be a good introduction to Quitely when I meet him in April, I'll ask if he remembers you.

I'm still really excited haha. Yeah I know. He said he's advised not to read other peoples scripts due to copyright reasons but said he'd keep it quiet. I didn't even know what to say. I was like "Uhmm yeah sure I'll get them to you"
haha. When I write I don't do it with the intention of Grant Morrison reading it so I'm a bit nervous!

You absolutely have my permission to show him your scripts sir! You wrote em, so show him already! Send him to the site if he wants some background and such.
