Do that...the running kid (whose name just ran out of my head) cracked me up...
Feb 11 2007, 04:50 PM
I'd love to see the final results. =)

Do I have copies of the pencils for the 8 pager?

("Robert Wayne Hickey":1lbm8wai)
If so, you should run a couple of pages in the magazine...just to get some folks thinking about it.
Do I have copies of the pencils for the 8 pager?

I'd be into it. But I would love to see it as a comic again.
I'm thinking about doing the Savage Family saga as a book, too....as if I had the time...
...maybe I'll make the time...

Do you have any idea if Rebecca will br doing the colors as well?
Feb 20 2009, 01:53 PM
Yes and no. I like Rebecca's coloring style, I can only hope to one day learn how to use Corel Painter the way she does.
Although I would enjoy something new and fresh to color like the Savage Family and like I said; I really enjoy her style.
I am so glad that the project is coming along, it's so exhilarating.
Feb 21 2009, 06:23 PM
I am pretty Jazzed about it. How are the 8 pages of inks coming along?
2009 seems to be a good year, I guess it has to do with the 20th anniversary of
Blue Line Pro, or perhaps it's just a coincidence.
Feb 21 2009, 06:46 PM
I am getting the same feeling with my work as well. I guess it took that contest piece to get me into that "groove."
Inkling sure is tough and I am glad it's going well for you.
Feb 22 2009, 09:15 AM
It will happen one day. I myself have wanted a drawing table, but I have no room for one, let alone afford one.
The only reason I have time to work on my coloring is because of my unemployment. It stinks not having the
funds I once had, and it's a bit embarrassing; The one good thing is that I have more time to devote to my craft.
Anyway, I can't wait to see this project in full force. I am glad that it's happening.
Feb 22 2009, 09:59 AM
I hope it's alright to post this here...
Gosh, this isn't the best I could do, but I wanted to do something quickly to get an idea/get used to drawing him. I'm not happy with that face! The plan was to just do some sketches, but then, as usual, I got carried away and added colour!
Aaaanyway...enough excuses, let me know what you think!
I really love this cast, and I'll be churning out a lot more drawings very soon.

It's good that Bob gave you his old drawing table, even though you have no where to put it; It will save you the trouble of having to get one in the future. I am glad to hear that you and Bob were discussing my coloring a project of yours in the future. It will be an honor to color anything for your guys. I also find it to be a lot of fun and rewarding. For the time being I will keep myself busy with my school work inbetween projects. Eventually I'll earn that medical transcription degree and that will lead to a payiong job, or at least I hope it well.
Rebecca, I have a hard time believing that isn't your best. This piece looks amazing. I love the whole thing, from the pose, , the design, to the colours.
I am looking forward to seeing more of your sketches and designs. Keep up the fantastic work!

I love them. Especially with the Reckless design, by no means was it reckless at all.
The lighting is amazing, I really like how you made the light shine through the cheetah fur.
I also enjoyed seeing the little happy face on his knee. =)
Keep up the wonderful work!

I'm sorry for the wait for more art! I haven't been feeling too well lately, but I'm better now, thank goodness!!
Here's a sketch...more coming very soon. By which time maybe I'll have a consistant style going on...

I really do hope that you will feel much better soon. Keep the fantastic art coming. Your detail to annatomy is top notch, and consistant style or not, I love what I am seeing.

It has an animation feel to it that I find very appealing.

Update: Rebecca is working for a gaming company in the UK. She's an awesome talent and we may see her do some more. In the meantime, I still have a plan to do a mini-series at some point called: The Savage Family: History in the Making, which will cross over with some other SkyStorm characters. Sooooo, at some point, there will be a need for another artist....
