Where do you guys usually post the pieces and vote on them?
Apr 16 2008, 10:29 PM
Usually here then the person hosting the contest will put everything together into a voting thread later for us.
Apr 16 2008, 10:52 PM
Apr 17 2008, 03:39 AM
You can actually post your entries right here in this thread, and when voting time comes, they will be collected into a Vote Now thread. Start posting, guys an' gals!

I wish I were in on this one, but my printer is a POS and with my car down I was never able to get the time to take my wife's car to get it printed at a kinko's or whatever. Figures first real Hulk contest and I miss it.
Looking forward to seeing the entries though.
Apr 19 2008, 03:50 AM
Well, I will start things off...enjoy.
Apr 19 2008, 12:28 PM
Very cool one Jeff. Doh I wish I was in on this one.
Apr 19 2008, 04:33 PM
AWESOME JEFF. It's good to have one early to get ink out and moving.
Apr 19 2008, 05:46 PM
Here goes my take on it! Enjoy!
Apr 19 2008, 06:00 PM
Another awesome piece. I think i have to redo mine.
Apr 19 2008, 06:06 PM
Thanks, Hamlet. McLeod's pencils were wonderful to ink over.
Apr 20 2008, 05:13 AM
Wow I really need to finish mine!
Two superb entries so far!
Apr 20 2008, 06:27 AM
Compairing em - I'm not too bummed how mine turned out. HUGE difference between how I inked and how Anthony inked!
But I rendered my clouds a more crapptastic. It's ok though, Anthony has TONS more inking experience than me.
On the bright side, I like how the brick wall turned out on the left side of the art on mine.
Apr 20 2008, 06:33 AM
Personally, I think I could have gone darker on my bricks.
Apr 20 2008, 10:37 AM
Wow, Bob was right! The crickets really are chirping out here! I guess everyone's at the NYCCC today! I'm working and listening to the Comic Geek Speak Podcast from there since I was not able to go.
Apr 20 2008, 01:18 PM
Hey I made like 10 posts today
I'm pretty happy after listening to the video interview about the Hulk movie...
My only pet peeve with it is that the director keeps saying that he couldn't justify making the Abomination look like the Abomination... one scene with Emil Blonsky/Tim Roth showing an affinity for lizards... done.
I mean I like to think I'm a creative genius, but I'm not sure that little tidbit should be that hard to reach.
Apr 20 2008, 06:11 PM
VIOLA! Here's my take on this Jam pencil by BM.
Apr 20 2008, 07:09 PM
Cool! your style makes this piece very moody.
Apr 20 2008, 09:04 PM
Agrred! Kinda like something outta SIN CITY. Sin City - Hulk.
Apr 21 2008, 06:18 AM
nice job jeffrey. again as i said to flair, the brick wall are being left behind, one thing i was glad to see the brick wall at the top left was dark.
not too shabby for a pen nibber.
Apr 21 2008, 02:21 PM
Sin City Hulk sounds cool. Thanks. This is tim burton's hulk.
Apr 21 2008, 07:01 PM
Then, does that mean that Danny Elfman is not far behind? Guys, this is great work!! Where is everyone else? As a matter of fact? WHERE IS BILL NICHOLS?
Apr 21 2008, 08:25 PM
Good point! I'd like to see Bill in on this competition too! That would be very interesting!
Apr 21 2008, 08:44 PM
He's busy, I know, I'm just being the fool.
Apr 21 2008, 10:48 PM
Argh - I'm anxious for this contest to kick off.
I cleaned up my image a bit - last minute stuff. All I can do now is keep my fingers crossed.
Apr 21 2008, 11:09 PM
Sounds like robots Jeff.
OKAY 2 MORE DAYS LEFT GOOD PEOPLE. Last day is Wednesday till midnite and we'll start voting Thursday morning if someone can take care of posting the polls please help and thank you. i LIKE TO SEE A COLORING CONTEST NEXT BUT WINNER DECIDES.
Apr 22 2008, 05:12 AM
If it's decided on a coloring contest and you want to go the "work over a pro" way again, I have a great unpublished Spider-man cover in my art collection. It's by pencilled by Anthony Williams and inked by De La Rosa.
I could post it elsewhere in the comp section if you wanna see it.
Apr 22 2008, 05:34 AM
Post it on corkboard I'll like to see it.
Apr 22 2008, 06:18 AM
ham, nice job
one crit, tone down the outline of hulk, little too much dominating the whole panel, love the "sin city" style look.
i would love to participate, however i am in training for drawing.
i do hope we can do another "ink a pro's pencil". this will sharpen our perception of inking.
whoever win...i sure hope we can pencil over chris bachalo's work. amazing fella with bullocks.
Apr 22 2008, 05:46 PM
I'll have to post mine tomorrow after work. I'm almost done!
Apr 22 2008, 07:50 PM
That's a great suggestion, the coloring contest. It would be a great thing to see all of you compete against one another to see who does the most powerful coloring job. I'd probably have to sit it out as I'm involved in three important projects that must be finished before the comicon!
Apr 22 2008, 08:10 PM
Thanks for the feedback Rob.
Apr 22 2008, 10:43 PM
Another coloring comp would be a nice also.
I personnaly like changing it up, 1 penciling, 1 inking, 1 coloring, etc. Maybe we can get a writing one somehow started (again)? Possibly toss lettering in somehow sometime?
Apr 23 2008, 05:23 AM
Sounds great! I've never even thought about Lettering but that's a even better idea. Get a page and who comes up with the coolest lettering.
Apr 23 2008, 05:32 AM
I've posted that unused cover on the corkboard.
Apr 24 2008, 05:44 PM
I was locked out of the boards like several other people.I don't know why. I did get my hulk pic inked in time though, here it is.
Apr 24 2008, 08:35 PM
Another Awesome Piece! Johnson glad you osted yours. Okay time to vote. can someone set up the voting poll. Thank you
Apr 25 2008, 04:19 AM
I was about to set up that poll, but somehow I can't set up threads or polls for some reason-- I'll contact JW.
Apr 25 2008, 09:49 AM
I wasn't able to get on the boards yesterday, is it to late to post my version?
Apr 25 2008, 10:01 AM
If I'm to late, its cool.
Apr 25 2008, 12:17 PM
Nice entry Levi
(play up that whole I'm new here angle so you can get in on the poll!)
Apr 25 2008, 01:08 PM
I don't think it's a problem- there's been all kinds of trouble on the boards- I've been trying to post that poll with no luck.
Apr 25 2008, 01:22 PM
Be sure to email me a nice high-rez scan of all your work, and I'll post them all in my CAF gallery! (daredevilart AT gmail DOT com)
Apr 25 2008, 04:03 PM
I'm okay with the late entry. Welcome and man! Nice entry! Thanks Flair for doing the poll.
Apr 25 2008, 07:23 PM
Hey, Hamlet, I'm still waiting on Bill to give me some kind of response. Great entry, by the way LeviS!
Apr 25 2008, 07:37 PM
Thank you Craig(Daredevilart) for the hi res pencil of Bob Mcleod's.
Apr 25 2008, 09:50 PM
Just checking...there isn't a poll posted yet, right? I looked around and couldn't find it.
Apr 26 2008, 06:44 AM
No- my powers are limited for some reason. For some reason I cannot post the poll. I hope to have one up by the end of the day.
