Yes there is a comic artist guild with a few hundred members. There are a few different chapters around the united states. It is a place for comic artist to network. The head and vice have done some amazing things in comics. Mark Mazz worked for a few different companies and works at Marvel in the marketing department. I have been recently appointed as the Nevada coordinator and director for the Nevada CAG chapter. Check out their site here

They do have annual dues of $25.00 and this fee goes to paying for functions and convention tables etc. Just thought I would give you a heads up so you could check it out.

I believe that there is a CAG group that meets at Brave New World in Newhall, Ca. I attended a meeting and they were pretty nice, it was a good meeting.

This is cool,Ichecked them out once before. How do you go about starting a chapter? I have started one here in louisville, ky. but have a hard time getting any people to attend, and it is FREE. We are the RIVER CITY CREATORS GUILD, for those who may be interested , meetings are every saturday at the main library down town
