During the last meeting (Oct, 2007) I asked Doug Pham (a great recent addition to our group) if he found the meetings rewarding and if he planned to join us for the November meeting. His answer wasn't simply yes, but he expressed a wish that the meetings were more frequent.
The longer, single monthly meeting format has proven itself well allowing the group to get away from life for a few hours and really focus on networking, learning and creating comics. I think everyone would agree that this is a great cornerstone gathering for the group.
That said, would there be any interest in hooking up (say at a coffee house, maybe Stevie's studio or some other location) between meetings to hang out, compare notes and maybe play around with a personal project or two in a very informal, unscripted setting?

Movie night?
How about a movie night? If Persepolis comes back to the Kentucky I would love to see that! Anyone else up for a group excursion to see the latest comic/graphic novel adapted by tinseltown? What else looms on the release horizon? Iron Man?

Let's see... Coming soon is Hulk, Dark Knight, Hellboy 2 and Iron Man. I'm up for a Persepolis viewing.
Also, I'm off the entire week of the 17th - 21st (this month). I'm going to be polishing off the site's first podcast during that week. Along the way, I plan to be a coffee house bum and do some of my regular website updates from Common Grounds. If anyone wants to write or draw during that week (maybe an evening), I could be lured out of my house to do some of my work in the good company of the LCCG!
