Hey, ya'll, I was poking around looking for ways to get the OST from the HEAVY METAL movie by Elmer Bernstein, and I found this site: http://www.screenarchives.com/index.cfm
I've had the rock soundtrack from the film for years but never saw the orchestral version available. I see that they sell a great deal of Varese Sarabande soundtracks- which once were the regular offerings at places like Tower Records before they closed their doors.
Itunes and Amazon only sell a couple of the original tracks, from essential collections of Bernstein's music.

R u talking bout the Movie Heavy Metal soundtrack Tony? It's one of the best soundtracks out I think! Enjoy! :)
Anthony Hochrein
Yep! And all that I could download from ITUNES was "Taarna's theme".

I looked on iTunes and the whole album popped up for me? Most be a bug in the system... or a pc issue :) Yeah I know, it's not but as a mac user it's nice to say that sometimes :)
Anthony Hochrein
No, you Mac using silly! That's the rock music that comes up! I've owned that for YEARS!!!!!!!!!! I even had the LP!! I'm looking for Elmer Bernstein's music!!
Mark Topolski
ah, that makes better sense... yes, silly mac user I am :)
Anthony Hochrein
Yeah, it sucks- I actually liked most of Bernstein's music in this soundtrack, and I could never find a companion album. It was released, but limited only. It's out of circulation, so that site has it available. Amazon sells it whenever there are available copies.

Ah! Glad to hear it. Beside the fact she thinks the mac guy is cute, I have never seen either of those movies, but he's really funny in Dodge Ball :) Again, not making any suggestions that mac's r better than pc's. Use what works for you is my moto :) Just don't ask me to ever use a pc, ever again!
The Leader
See him in Accepted and Waiting... both great movies.

What works best for my Tony is a sludge hammer, a very big hammer :)
LurkD
A sludge hammer would be messy, wouldn't it?
Anthony Hochrein
Oh, no, not MY 2 year old Gateway baby!! She's served me faithfully since I got her!! I love HER almost as much as I love Ross Hughes' Cintiq!! I mean, errr almost as much as ROSS HUGHES loves ROSS HUGHES' Cintiq... ahem! And don't you mean SLEDGE HAMMER? Like the old song?
Mark Topolski
Sludge or Sledge, when you're Polish it works out :)
