LIBERTY COMICS: A CBLDF BENEFIT BOOK (ONE-SHOT)
If you like comics, there are few better ways to spend four bucks than to support the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. The organization has been protecting the rights of comics creators, retailers and--ultimately--readers for years now, and without their efforts, folks like Lowest Comic Denominator artist Kieron Dwyer and Georgia retailer Gordon Lee would be in substantially worse positions than they are now.
If you like good comics, you should be reading books like The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and Criminal by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips anyway. So the idea that short stories featuring two of the best comics currently on the shelf are joining an all-star panel of creators and contributors, makes four bucks seem like a steal any way you slice it. Go buy this book. You owe it to yourself--and it's arguable that, if you love comics, you owe it to the medium and to the industry to support the CBLDF.
