Today we finished the validation polishing off the following categories: Title / Events and Resources. In all we spent nine seperate days clicking through and checking all our links.

During a link validation, we evaluate each link updating the URL as needed, reorganizing links among our various topic areas or simply pulling links completely if they're no longer live or no longer relate to comics. We started the validation run with 1,600 links and cut our links page down by 129 to 1,471 active and validated links. Our end goal following any link purge is to ensure our links page is the best in the business!

We're getting ready to do a full link page validation (we manually clicking through every link on our links page and make sure our links are still good). Before go through the page, we always have an official "Back From The Dead Day" where we double check those links we pulled during our last purge. We give them one last chance to spring back to life.

You can check out what we pulled last time here. Out of those dead links, 11 returned from the grave to walk among the living once more. Today they were added back to our links page raising the total count to 1491.

We added 10 new links raising the Comic Related link count to 1185 links.  We also pulled a Batman related link (Batman: Defenders of Gotham) and checked our Bat-links at the request of a Comic Related fan.  We then added an additional Batman link to keep the overall count at 1185.
