Jeremy Sisto on his role: "I tend to (get cast) as dark characters, and I'm more drawn to those characters anyway - they're usually more interesting," Sisto said. "Plus, I got this deep voice from my father, and the combination of the timbre of my voice and my inflections tends to make people feel that there's some darkness there." Sisto particularly enjoys the role Batman takes in 'Justice League: The New Frontier,' emphasizing that the character arc of the Caped Crusader gave the job added flavor. "I think Batman is a great character in that he has a lot of internalization, and his heroics come from a dark place," Sisto said. "You can have fun with that side of him, sort of showing his dislike for people and yet, at the same time, he's all about helping people and doing good for society. "Batman is a bit of a loner. He's very intuitive and, while the rest of the Justice League are using their super powers, he uses his detective skills to get to the heart of the matter and, in this case, help save the world. Throughout the course of the story, though, I think he learns that it's not such a bad thing to have friends." - Comics2Film, 2/16/08 [link]
Brooke Shields on her role: "I'm so drawn to the concept of a female warrior as the lead character - I've loved it since before they had shows like Alias and Bionic Woman," Shields admitted. "As I'm not exactly, let's say, a dainty girl - I'm not frail, and no matter what I do, I'm not little - I've always secretly wished to have to go through some kind of training to do a big, physical role. I've trained with the Blue Angels and I've done triathlons, but ultimately, I think I want to be a super hero. Okay, I just want to play a super hero. I think that would be great. I'd love to do that kind of role." - SuperHeroFlix, 2/14/08 [link]
Kyle MacLachlan on his role: "Superman stands for so many things that I believe in - strength, justice, fighting for what's right," said MacLachlan. "You just can't turn down the opportunity to play a guy like Superman." - SuperHeroFlix, 2/11/08 [link]

Bruce Trim discusses how New Frontier is shaping up... "I think it’s going to be really, really good. If anything, it’s more of a challenge than the Death of Superman. It’s a really big story, not in terms of page count but it was easier to cut stuff out of the Superman storyline. In the Superman story there were many stories that were tangents. New Frontier even though it’s a big sprawling thing kind of does dovetail. There’s all these great bits throughout the entire novel that don’t initially seem to go anywhere, but ultimately lead up to the big finish. I hated to do it but some of my favorite parts had to be cut out just to get that whole story down to the 70-minute length. Ultimately we managed to keep what we think is really important without throwing the baby out with the bath water. I was amazed that when I watched the animatic a little while ago. All I could think is ‘Wow! That’s New Frontier,’ and not just a Cliff Notes version of it." - Newsarama, 3/20/07 [link]
Justice League: The New Frontier adapts Cooke's award-winning mini-series DC: The New Frontier. Set in the 1950s, the story bridges the gap between the Golden and Silver Ages of comics in the DC Universe. The film will focus heavily on two main stars, Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) and the Martian Manhunterr. However, dozens of DC characters could potentially appear, echoing the book's huge cast. "We are going to honor as many characters as possible," Noveck confirms. "The decision has been made, however, that where the story calls for it, we are not going to have just a random 'Joe Blow.' It will be somebody." Also central to the story will be Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash. Other characters confirmed to appear are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, King Faraday and Carol Ferris. - Wikipedia [link]
