His Evil Knows No Limits
You've seen it around, but do you know what it means? Yesterday, Image released a teaser image for the Image United event obviously pointing to the recent announcement of the event's main villain.
Spawn fans, or anyone remotely familiar with the character will recognize the name Al Simmons as the original Spawn for many years until issue #185 when he killed himself and a new character, Jim Downing, became Spawn. Now, ol' Al is back and he's not too happy. Of course, he wasn't too happy before either seeing as how he offed himself being fed up with it all...
The question on fans' minds is will Al Simmons be a plausible enough bad guy for this major event. Some are crying foul, but only time will tell. The argument is that there aren't any huge villains around that could unite the loosely tied Image universe to combat a threat, but this character that they know as one of their own could be that guy.
