Unmasked: Pre Mid-Ohio-Con party brings fans, pros together!

 

 

Columbus' largest comic book convention) starts Nov. 24, but the party starts the day before that.

 

"Unmasked," the 2nd annual free pre-convention party sponsored by Ferret Press and the PANEL collective, will take place from 8 p.m. - midnight on Friday, Nov. 23. The venue for this event will once again be Barley's Brewing Co., directly across from the convention center. The party serves as a place where comic book fans can mingle with comic book pros, chat, have a drink, and talk about comics, art, music, and more.

 

The party is open to everyone, and will include a DJ and a cash bar. This year, the event features a Live Art Throwdown as well, where local and pro artists will create art and do sketches on the spot. Those pieces will then be auctioned at the Ferret Press/PANEL booth at Mid-Ohio Con on Saturday and Sunday. All proceeds will benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and the Hero Initiative, a nonprofit organization that helps comic book veterans.
