This is it! The new beginning for the Related Recap! Brant Fowler and Chris Ventura take over co-hosting duties on the once again weekly podcast! Every week, it’ll be all comic talk, from reviews, to news, to discussion and more. Sometimes there will be guests, sometimes there will be interviews. In the weeks ahead, many segments will pop up as well.
For this first episode, it’s an introduction to the guys as they talk about how they got into comics and how they came to be here, co-hosting the official podcast of Comic Related.
A few headlines are discussed, including DC August 2013 solicitations, Superior Spider-Man’s new costume and more. And the guys take a look at Free Comic Book Day offerings, as well as releases for May 1st and May 8th.
It’s a longer than usual first episode, recorded in the wee hours of the night, so be warned, there may be some rambling!
Don’t worry, though, Road Shows, Con Coverage and the Yellowbelts remain part of the Recap.
All in all, we here at Comic Related welcome you to the new era of The Related Recap!

Hey, everyone, Brant Fowler here, one of the co-owners of ComicRelated.com, with an important update concerning The Related Recap’s future.
To recap (pun intended) the history of the show, it was started by Chuck Moore, founder of Comic Related, to showcase and highlight small press and independent publishers and creators, but also to talk about comics in general.
Over the years, John Wilson and I came on with our own segments, which evolved into a group discussion between the three of us. It still had interviews as well. Then Chuck stepped down and handed the reigns to us. We relaunched the show with new segments and the new monthly format, still maintaining the comic discussion and interview format.
Well, now we are about to embark on the next chapter of the evolution of The Related Recap.
Sometime in May, Chris Ventura and I will be taking over hosting chores for The Related Recap! That’s right, the team that brings you Hall of Toys and that appear all over CR and Dark Avenger INC are coming together to host this cornerstone/flagship show of Comic Related!
And if that wasn’t news enough, we’re moving the show back to a weekly format!
You may not be aware, but Chris has recently come on to the CR team, posting stories behind the scenes. And we have lots in store for this new version of The Related Recap. We’re talking all kinds of segments, be they weekly, monthly or occasionally.
And don’t think that just because we’re hosting the show that you won’t hear the former hosts. In fact, John will occasionally join us, and all of us – including Chuck – will still be doing the traditional convention coverage and road shows on the Recap, that’s not going to change.
We are also not renumbering the show. We will use some distinction to let you know it’s Chris and I with the weekly episodes. Maybe Related Recap Weekly or something.
I’ll lay out all the details on the first episode. Which will be sometime in May 2013!
